This is perhaps the most unknown Way to Santiago. This route was used between the 10th and 13th centuries, as at that time it was the safest route to Santiago, as the advance of the Muslims towards the north of Spain meant that the roads from the plateau were not safe.
In our region, it starts from Igüeña to Cacabelos. On this route you will discover it as far as Cubillos del Sil and you will also follow in the footsteps of the Roman traces in our region.
You will pass through impressive, almost forgotten villages, observing the typical architecture of El Bierzo and ancient churches, some of which are no longer more than the remains.
